What is slacklining?
Slacklining is a sport that challenges you to maintain your balance while walking across a length of nylon webbing stretched between two anchor points.
Just as a tightrope is stretched tightly, a slackline is allowed to hang slack. Under the weight of a slackliner, the line hangs several inches or several feet above the ground, with the tension of a giant rubber band.
By steadying yourself atop a slackline, you find equilibrium between yourself, the line, and gravity. Once you achieve this balance, you can practice walking the line, learn to turn, and perform many extraordinary tricks.
